Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. However, if you are feeling bad, you should still feel free to express it. We often reflect a fake version of ourselves in society because of cliché expectations. But feeling sad is normal; it is a natural part of being human.

Emotions are like nature to me, a kind of reflection. I believe that which truths we face depends on us. Today, I want to share a book that made me feel exactly this way. I truly believe in the power of ideas. They can change the world. Which world? Of course, not Earth.

Our inner world.

Before reading More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop, you should read Days at the Morisaki Bookshop.

I read on my Kindle. Actually, I discovered these books on social media and became curious about them. After that, I read them over a few weeks. This genre reminds me that there are many options in life and that you need to listen to your present self. Running a bookshop! Of course, it is not just a dream for me; it also feels like a possible reality. I want to run a bookshop in Istanbul one day. This is a note to myself.

That’s why I am so drawn to these books.

Well, let’s return to our book.

From this book, I have learned and realized something important about my life. Whatever happens on your journey is not always about you. Sometimes, it comes from your inner identity, and you need to recognize your potential. I remind myself of this all the time. You don’t need to blame yourself for expressing your emotions.

I loved, but I was not loved back. This makes me a little sad, but the book reminds me that some people come into our lives and then leave. It is not your mistake. Through these experiences, you encounter a better version of yourself, one that has become aware.

This is the thing:

Blurb of the Book

I wonder if this love of books is hereditary. I sometimes think that might be why I’m still coming so often to the shop on my days off from work.
“This is a bokshop,” my uncle says.” How are we not going to look at books? Right, Takako?” “Right,”I agree with a laugh.
This is my beloved Morisaki Bookshop. It’s been an inseperable part of my life since the days I lived here. In its own modest way, ıt’s a place that holds so many little stories within its walls. Maybe that’s the reason I keep coming back.

Selected Quotes from the Book

“I glanced at the spines of the books lined up on the shelf. If you think about it, most of the authors of the books here are no longer alive. It’s a little bit strange, don’t you think? Their books are still with us, and we read them to this day, and feel moved by them. It was true. So many of the people whose names lined the shelves here had long ago left our world behind. “

“It somehow feels incredibly luxurious to sit on your favourite coffe shop, reading a book.”

-“Like what?

-You know, careless.

-What do you mean ,careless? I wasn’t doinganything .

-Sometimes that’s the same thing. And sometimes that can invite an even more thoughtless response.

That startled me. I’d been guilty of that in the past. I guess you are right.. I did run into some trouble that one time.”
